What is most important in choosing a school?
The quality of instruction… Our academies feature instructors who are experienced, enthusiastic, and skilled at teaching and dedicated to helping you reach your goals.
At what age can you start practicing Martial Arts?
It is never too late or too soon to begin training in the martial arts. We do recommend ages 3 and up.
Is it dangerous or difficult to learn?
It is easy, lots of fun to learn and very safe. The first 1 to 2 weeks you may experience sore muscles and feel awkward when learning new movements. This is absolutely normal. You will get in better shape and the techniques will come more easily with practice. Stick with it and you will love it!
What is your fee for lessons?
Cost depends on the program you participate in. Regular classes for Men, women and children average $25 ~ $32 per week. Private lessons priced separately.
How long does it take to become a black belt?
A student typically takes about 2 ~ 3years to achieve Back Belt, but it depends on your effort.
I am over weight, can I practice?
Yes. Martial Arts provide a great aerobic work out that uses all muscle groups. The exercise and discipline work together to help with weight control. Most of our students lose 10 pounds in the first two months.
Do you charge a testing fee?
Yes, we do charge a reasonable testing. Test fees depend upon your membership level, and are waived with some membership programs.
What Style of Martial Arts do you teach?
We teach Martial Arts styles. Our curriculum is the best in Traditional Tae Kwon Do. Tae Kwon Do is an ancient Korean Martial art. It Method of self-defense, without weapons which incorporates both physical and mental training.
Tae Kwon Do program make my child overly aggressive?
Children’s are taught that the Tae kwon do is not to be used in aggression, but rather to defend ones self in problematic situations. Aggressive behavior is channeled into assertiveness to increase the child’s self-esteem, increase self discipline and build character. Our program also helps the shy child to develop self-confidence and become more assertive.
My child has ADHD, can she/he practice?
Yes, in fact many of our students have been diagnosed with ADHD. Some have been able to function in school and in the martial arts without medication because of our life fitness curriculum. Martial Arts practice is natural medicine for ADHD.
